Each of my designs is inspired by draping techniques using old fabrics. By exploring five distinct sets of drapes, I am able to generate a variety of unique design concepts. Each set brings its own inspiration and structure, allowing me to experiment with texture, shape, and form, while giving new life to repurposed materials.
SLEEVE DRAPE AND INSPIRATION
DRAPE FIRST,USE IT AS FIRST STEP OF DESIGN.
USE THE SHAPE TO CREATE COLLECTIONS
Treatment Design: Laser-cut butterflies crafted from original fabrics. Carefully disassemble beads from the original beaded fabric and sew the selected beads onto the body. Attach laser-cut butterflies in various shapes and orientations on the body. Cut feather shapes from the original fabric, leaving rough edges to create a sense of realism, while ensuring a smooth, silky texture. The feathers will vary in size and are sewn onto tulle fabric, with the center of each feather stitched using small, precise stitches. The feathers of different shapes will be combined to add depth and texture.
